Off-Site Event Locations

Whether your group wants to surround themselves in Southwestern architecture or modern art, there are many locations perfect for off-site reception and dinner functions. Our selection includes private estates, museums, galleries, and restaurants. Or, if a themed event is more your style, we have many different options to suit your group’s needs.

Restaurants

If you are interested in one of Santa Fe’s great restaurants for your dinner or off-site event, we can provide you with many options. Our select list of restaurants is chosen for each restaurant’s ability to provide your group with excellent attention to detail, in both quality of food and dining experience.

Galleries

With a reputation as the nation's second largest art market, Santa Fe boasts more than 120 galleries, offering highly sought-after paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles and pottery pieces. These span from Picasso to the Taos Founders to contemporary artists. A number of these galleries are ideal locations to hold your off-site event, many within easy walking distance from your hotel.

Museums

Santa Fe is home to many fascinating museums, most of which are available for your off-site event. Consider taking your group to one or all of the museums on “Museum Hill.” These include the Museum of International Folk Art, the Spanish Colonial Arts Museum, the Wheelwright Indian Arts Museum, and the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture. Or imagine your group wandering through the exhibits at the Palace of the Governors or the Museum of Fine Arts, both downtown.

Palace of the Governors

The Palace of the Governors, built in 1610, is the oldest public building in continuous use in the United States. The Palace was occupied over the years by Mexican soldiers, Indian insurgents, American military, and Governor Lew Wallace, who wrote Ben Hur there. The various rooms in the Palace, built around a large open courtyard, display items from throughout Santa Fe's history: pre-contact Indian pottery, Jemez pottery from 1300-1700, accounts of the Coronado expedition (published in 1556), a reconstructed 17th century carretta (Spanish cart), maps of 18th-century Spanish America (including one showing California as an island), a horse-drawn hearse and chuck wagon from the mid-19th century, and the bindery and presses from the old print shop. The Palace of the Governors is built around a beautiful courtyard and is located right on the Plaza.

Museum of Fine Arts

The Museum of Fine Arts emphasizes an excellent collection of modern and contemporary regional art. Housed in a building completed in 1917, the Museum features artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe and the "Taos Masters," and is the first building in Santa Fe constructed in the Pueblo revival style. Guests can wander through the Museum's galleries and experience oils, sculpture and three outdoor gardens.

Eaves Movie Ranch

Pack your holster, put on your boots and denim up, it's time to head south to get a real taste of the West. Whether you're looking for a bang-up blast of country swing, gunfights, saloon floozies and BBQ (that will make you wish you brought Tupperware) or a quiet evening in a dusty ghost town, Eaves Movie Ranch has it all. From the producers of "Lonesome Dove," "Young Guns II," and "Silverado," all the way back to "Cheyenne Social Club," film makers with a quest for the true West have found their visions on location at Eaves. We promise a great time, true adventure, unbelievable skies, possible romance and an unforgettable experience. The Eaves Movie Ranch includes 36 buildings (give or take), 10 practicals, (saloon, jail, bank, meeting hall, etc.), stables with horses, dusty roads, starry nights, rainbows after a rain and characters wandering about.

Bonanza Creek Ranch

Bonanza Creek Movie Ranch is nestled in the foothills eight miles south of Santa Fe, New Mexico. And this place is not just some prop…it's also a working cattle ranch, raising primarily Longhorns since the 1950's, with the first set built in 1980 for filming "Legend of the Lone Ranger". This is a sleepy little town just yearning for some kick-up-your-boots fun. Once your groups rolls into "Dodge," the Director yells, "Action!" and out come the guitars, gunfighters, saloon gals and other characters wandering around looking for trouble or an evening of beer and barbeque. All buildings are four sided; not facades like most movie sets, structurally sound, and have running water and electricity. This is a busy place growing ever more popular and is not always available because of various shooting schedules. So let us know when your crew is ready, so we get this production rolling.

Gerald Peters Gallery

As a showcase for one the country's most impressive collections of art, the Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe has played the role impeccably for more than 25 years. The Gerald Peters Gallery moved into its new home at 1011 Paseo de Peralta in the East Side Historic District in 1998. The 32,000-square-foot, two-story building now commands as much respect and elicits as much wonder as the collection of works displayed within the adobe walls.

Spanish Colonial Village

Founded in the early 1700’s, El Rancho de Las Golondrinas was a historic stopping place on El Camino Real, the Royal Road from Mexico City. The 200-acre living history museum opened on this site in 1972. An 18 th century placita house with a defensive tower, a 19 th century home and its out buildings, molasses mill, threshing ground, blacksmith shop, wheelwright shop, schoolhouse, mountain village and several water powered grist mills depict life in Spanish colonial and territorial New Mexico.

Scottish Rite Temple

The Scottish Rite Temple of Santa Fe, built in the early 1900's, is on the Santa Fe Historical Buildings Registry and is a familiar icon to all Santa Feans. The beautiful theater seats 300 and has 69 hand-painted theater sets, the ballroom seats up to 400 and there is also lovely courtyard.

And Many more….

Consider an outdoor setting at a lodge in the mountains or a local wildlife center. Or take your group to one of the many private estates that we work with for a unique look into the homes of Santa Fe.
